SCOA

The Southern California Orofacial Academy (SCOA) was founded on November 13, 2001 soon after the merger of the Northern and Southern California Societies of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (NCSOMS) and (SCSOMS). Several members of the previous SCSOMS formed the SCOA to fill the void in Southern California after the merger. The mission of the SCOA is to preserve and honor the history and protect the heritage of all oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Southern California since 1921 and to continue offering educational opportunities and encourage fellowship.

We invite you to join SCOA and attend the Annual Fall Implant Symposium and Annual Spring Scientific Meeting. You can learn more about us by checking links on our Welcome page and reading current and archived issues of SCOA Proceedings.

New courses in 2018 are ACRM Simulation with ACLS and BLS recertification on August 4 and Surgical Airway Lecture and Hands-On Course September 22. Details are on our Welcome page with a link to view and print the 2018-2019 Course Brochure,
