Southern California Orofacial Academy
The Southern California Orofacial Academy is a clinical and academic group of dental professionals with a growing membership in California and the western states.
SCOA objectives are to advance expertise and clinical excellence by inviting presenters who are knowledgeable and experienced in a variety of subjects to speak at continuing education meetings. SCOA provides eight units of continuing education and camaraderie at two meetings each year, April and October.

2001.
The mission of SCOA is to honor the long history of oral and maxillofacial surgeons existing in Southern California since 1921. SCOA now offers cutting edge educational programs to a greater interdisciplinary dental and academic community.
SCOA provides the opportunity to gather socially to strengthen regional bonds. We invite you to attend Annual Fall and Spring Scientific Meetings. Workshops are included with each meeting. Program information is posted on this website as presenters and topics are confirmed.
CE Provider
The Southern California Orofacial Academy is recognized by the Dental Board of California as an approved continuing education provider for permit renewal; the Medical Board of California accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit for CME from the DBC. Permit No. RP 5017. All courses meet DBC requirements for credits earned toward license renewal.
SCOA has been presenting quality clinical programs twice annually since 2001.
These programs attract Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, OMS Pathologists, Periodontists, Prosthodontists and General Practitioners interested in learning from expert presenters in Orthognathic, Implant and Facial Surgery. We invite all dental professionals to join SCOA and attend our Annual Spring and Fall Scientific Meetings with their staff.
